PRINCIPLES-BASED REGULATION FORUM TO HOST A-LIST SPEAKER LINE-UP IN FRANKFURT

Representatives from BaFin, EU Commission, Lachner Westphalen Spamer, Chi-X, BVI and WestLB will debate the implementation agenda for

PBR in the post-MIFID environment

[LONDON, UK. 03 June 2008]  JWG-IT, the neutral think-tank for EU-driven change in financial services, and Cre8 Results, specialist financial services marketing communications agency, today announced details of the speakers and the topics for debate at the Frankfurt FORUM, taking place at Le Méridien Parkhotel on Monday, 16 June 2008.

Following the success of the London event, the Frankfurt FORUM is designed to help the financial industry achieve winning strategies in today’s post-MiFID environment and define the implementation of the PBR agenda.  Maria Teresa Fabregas-Fernandez, Policy Officer, DG Internal Market and Services at the EU Commission, will lead the debate by outlining the strategic vision, followed by Dr. Stefan Pankoke of BaFin, who will depict the current principles-based regulation in action.

Top industry spokespeople and the audience will then debate the strategies that firms need to apply to remain competitive within this framework.  Keynote speakers include Magdalena Kuper, Vice President,  Policy and Associations, BVI Bundesverband Investment und Asset Management; Dr. Jochen Eichhorn, Partner, Lachner Graf von Westphalen Spamer; Peter Randall, Chief Executive Officer, Chi-X Europe Ltd; Andreas von Böhlen, Executive Director, WestLB AG; Michael Krogmann, Executive Director for Cash Market Development, Deutsche Börse and James Stoker, Sales Director, Fortis Bank Global Clearing.

Key topics for debate at the FORUM include:

The Frankfurt FORUM will bring together 100+ practitioners from over 20 financial institutions to listen to the industry’s leading figures and meet with technology vendors at the accompanying exhibition.  The series continues in Milan and Paris later this year.
